Holidays in Maine
Here are a few highlights of the Holidays- don't judge on the way too many instagram photos...
My sister and I with the Kennebunkport Christmas Tree
My little sister came home for Christmas as a surprise to my mom this year. If you know my mother, and how impossible it is to keep a secret from her, you know this was no easy task.
This picture is also odd to me since my sister and I have similar hair for literally the first time in our lives. Emily always had black curly hair and I always had light brown/sometimes blonde straight hair. With a little straightening and a little hair dye, we both have the same hair now. Very strange for both of us.
Our family tree
Bentley
Here's the connection: Bentley is my mother's best friend's dog. And I love him.
Gus Gus
My all time favorite ornament. I got this little guy in a happy meal as a kid- which was rare because we hardly ever got to go to McDonalds. But really, I've always loved Cinderella. And I love that we wrap up Gus Gus at the end of every Christmas and store him away with the other paper and glass ornaments of our past.
Apartment Tree:
I've never had a REAL tree in my apartment- thanks to Atlanta's apartment selling nothing but sickly looking pipe cleaners and Portland's apartment being too small. So this tree was a little special. Even if it was put up an hour before our holiday party.
Slutcracker:
Um. Right.
The Slutcracker is a huge thing at the Somerville Theater. It's a burlesque version of the Nutcracker in one of Massachusetts' greatest theaters. It sells out almost every year and this was the auto-correct in my phone. I don't know which wording is worse...
Mini Cakes
Are amazing when they're red velvet. In fact, all cakes should either be red velvet. Or funfetti.
Churchie
Now, I've never been a Church going person at all. Not a fan of the chanting, kneeling and overall craziness that sometimes comes through. But some people in my family are- and have to say, being at a monastery on Christmas eve was kind of nice. No mass, no weird children screaming in the aisles, no horrific perfumes. It was just us and and some monks. Kind of really ok.
Christmas Day Snow at Three Lady Farm
And last, our sad excuse for a snow fall on Christmas Day.

Happy Halloween!!! Homemade Shark Costumer
Ah, my second favorite holiday! Love sharks and love dressing up! Here's my homemade (obviously) shark costume!
For realism, I pretended to eat the cat. No worries, he was a semi-willing participant in this pose.

I'm not going to get sick this October
Every October I get totally sick. Like hyperactive flu, bronchitis, pneumonia, sinus infection where I want to rip my eyes out sick. This happens literally every October that I've been back in New England. SO, this year, I'm taking every precaution and even spending my right leg and left ear (the good one) on all homeopathic treatments available. Ridiculously expensive raw honey and vitamins are keeping me well so far... But here's hoping I don't end up like this Kitteh.
So I'm looking into boxing...
I have this crazy reoccurring dream where I'm walking in a busy city, get mugged and when I try to fight back, my arms turn basically to Jell-o. Almost as if instead of Stretch Armstrong's indestructible arms, more like silly putty... I take this as that I need to work out more. Or possibly try something like boxing or kickboxing. Yoga is always fun but maybe I'll try something new.

Halloween!!!
Ah, the wonderful time of year where the leaves change, the air is brisk and everyone in the office has a raging cold. Oh well. At least one of my top favorite movies is on tv non-stop: HOCUS POCUS. Bette Midler, zombies, un-dead black cat, all the parents in a town possessed and a virgin lighting a candle. It truly has stood the test of time.
Also, it's that time of year where the days are shorter...
So this is me:

The life of an art director
First I should preface: I love what I do. But sometimes, my imagination runs wild.
Today, I was asked to take a lovely picture of a crepe and add some flecks of mushroom to it. As I started to do this, I noticed it was smiling at me...
And then... I realized the Crepe was french...
Perfect!

Lame Eel jokes
My grandmother wasn't feeling so well and she (seemingly) loves lame jokes. She hasn't been able to check her email for a while so I thought I would mail her some Bad Eel Jokes. I printed these out and mailed them to her this week. Hope she loves them as much as I do.
The Queen in pantone
Don't know where this came from, but it's amazing. WHO ELSE but the Queen would have enough outfits to fill a pantone book? LOVE.

My rent-a-dog, Journey
Journey's parents (my dear friends) are currently off protecting our country. Her mom returns at the end of the month and meanwhile, Journey and I get to hang out together! She's such a great dog, so sweet and I love this pup. We have been having a blast (minus a little stomach bug).
Journey met her twin!
