There is an ice cream truck that comes to our adult whiffle ball games... which is fantastic.

French Fry holder for your car?
Wow... this makes me a little sad. Does it come with a robotic shovel that hauls french fries into your mouth? Let's make eating greasy fast food easier for an already unhealthy country.

French Strawberry & Blackberry dessert crepes
After watching Julie&Julia, I became a little inspired to cook. So I used Julia's recipe for French Crepes and my own recipe for Strawberry & Blackberry baileys sauce.
For a few summers in high school, I used to work at this little French Creperie in Kennebunkport. The Creperie, Oo La La, was owned by this fantasically eccentric woman named Rocky- who I'm still not sure if that was her real name. It has been years since it went out of business but the Crepes were amazing.
It's been a while so I set off to make some of my own.
Here's how to make these:
Step 1: Make a really messy kitchen.
Julia's French Crepe batter:
Ingredients
2/3 cup cold water
2/3 cup cold milk
3 eggs
½ tsp salt
1 cup flour (scooped and leveled)
3 tablespoons melted butter
Blend and chill in fridge for 30 minutes.
Brush melted butter on skillet on medium heat. Pour 1/3 cup of Crepe batter on hot skillet. Flip like a pancake.
Lola's Strawberry~Blackberry Liquor Crepe filling
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups of crushed strawberries and blackberries
3 tablespoons (maybe a little more?) of Bailey's Irish Cream
2 tablespoons melted butter
2 tablespoons sugar
Mix all ingredients together. That's it.
See photos below to see how to put these things together.
Use cream, powdered sugar and cinnamon to garnish.

"Every woman takes care of their Jewlery differently."
This is the wicker tea stand in my room.
My jewelry box is a brass incense smoker from the 20's. Got it at an antiques show for $3 in North Carolina. Was practically black and green before I cleaned it. Holds my passport and necklaces now. LOVE it.
These two bottles of wine are probably vinegar now. One is from my travels in Italy a few years back.
The other is one of the bottles from my college graduation party.
That's Gladys the duck.
And yes, that's a martini glass holding my earrings.

Easter.
The worst cake I've ever decorated... Tacky jelly beans. Weird, depressing Peep. At least it tasted good.
Followed by some screwed up tie-dyed eggs...
happy easter. Sigh.

500 Miles on a bike + Raising money for Cancer research
As most of you know, I don't just sit back and do nothing. Never. I'm thinking about riding my bike 500 miles and raising money for Cancer research here in New England. There have been so many people affected by different forms of cancer in my life- and I'm sure there are for many other people as well. I guess the big thing is that I want to do something about it.
I'm thinking of starting a new blog, tracking my cycling and making updates about everything going on. I'm not in the shape I used to be so it will be a little bit of a challenge. Hopefully people will donate.
Still planning some things out, but there will be news soon.
